Published: June 20, 2025 Abstract In the era of globalization and rapid growth of the tourism industry, a halal tourism development strategy has become an urgent need to encourage a sustainable economy based on the principles of Maqashid Sharia.
This research aims to analyze halal tourism development strategies as a driving element for sustainable economic growth based on the concept of Maqashid Sharia.
The research method used is a qualitative approach.
The results of this research confirm that halal tourism has the potential to positively impact the economy sustainably.
This approach involves key components such as halal food, accommodation that is friendly to Muslim needs, and interactions with religious norms.
This creates an environment that is in line with Maqashid Sharia, which involves the protection of religion (Hifz al-Di.

Within this framework, research on halal tourism development strategies as a driver of a sustainable economy based on Maqashid Syariah has very important relevance.

The purpose of this study is to provide a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the role of halal tourism in the context of sustainable economic growth and its impact on the tourist experience and local development.
Through an in-depth analysis of the definition, principles of Maqashid Sharia, economic contributions, development strategies, and the implementation of halal tourism practices, this research aims to explore clearer insights into this phenomenon.
RESEARCH METHODS
This study applies a qualitative approach to understanding the halal tourism development strategy as a driver of a sustainable economy, focusing on aspects that are in line with Maqashid Sharia.
