The right approach is needed in program implementation.
TBM Silayung aims and focuses more on adult education/reawakening adult interest in reading.
The right approach in this program is the andragogic The andragogic approach is an approach that uses the principles of adult education.
This principle is used because the majority of students are adults with different learning styles.
Therefore, the application of the andragogic approach is necessary to motivate students to learn.
The purpose of this study was to find out the role of Community Reading Gardens (TBM) managers in increasing adult reading motivation using the andragogic approach.
Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and data collection techniques including observations, interviews and literature reviews.
The TBM program aims to re-increase the demand for adult reading.

Andragogy Abstrak Taman bacaan masyarakat merupakan salah satu bentuk pendidikan ekstrakurikuler.
Diperlukan pendekatan yang tepat dalam pelaksanaan program.
TBM Silayung lebih bertujuan dan berfokus pada pendidikan orang dewasa/membangkitkan kembali minat baca orang dewasa.
Pendekatan yang tepat dalam program ini adalah pendekatan andragogik.
Pendekatan andragogik merupakan pendekatan yang menggunakan prinsip-prinsip pendidikan orang dewasa.
Prinsip ini digunakan karena mayoritas peserta didik merupakan orang dewasa dengan gaya belajar yang berbeda-beda.
Oleh karena itu, penerapan pendekatan andragogik diperlukan untuk memotivasi peserta didik dalam belajar.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran pengelola Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) dalam meningkatkan motivasi membaca orang dewasa dengan menggunakan pendekatan andragogik.
Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dan telaah pustaka.
Program TBM bertujuan untuk kembali meningkatkan minat baca orang Kata kunci: Manajer.

Result Regarding the findings of research conducted at TBM Silayung, which asked about the role of the head of the community reading center (TBM) in increasing adult reading motivation through an andragogic approach, assisted by one of the TBM leaders, not only the chair informant, but visitors and local community leaders.
The manager plays a very important role and determines the success or failure of TBM.
In order for TBM to be useful in accordance with its mission, functions and objectives, managers and organizers can realize the importance and status of TBM for the community, even though the TBM program cannot run and will not run without the support of the local community, assistance and support from parties, leaders, visitors and government work area.
Village officials and the local government also have a big role to play in fostering interest in reading because village officials and the local government are the holders of power who of course can add reading material and add to the supporting facilities in TBM so that the library becomes a comfortable and safe place so as to generate a sense of interest.
