Abstract.
This study focuses on the Earnest WorthingAs and AlgernonAs characteristics toward the conflicts in AOscar WildeAs Novel in titled AuThe Importance of Being EarnestAy.
It aims to describe charactersA of Earnest Worthing and Algernon.
The method used in this study was qualitative with textual analysis based on Moleong .
The results of this study showed that the main characterAs of the Earnest Worthing is very kind man because he wanted to do everything for the one that he love namely Gwendolen, he is really friendly as well and Algernon is a man who never been serious in doing something but he is a romantic person.
Their characters were taken Based on conflicts which were happened in the novel of Oscar Wilde in titled AuThe Importance of Being EarnestAy and also supported by some experts such as.

Penelitian ini focus pada karakter Earnest Worthing dan karakter Algernon terhadap konflik yang terjadi di dalam novel Oscar Wilde yang berjudul AuThe Importance of Being EarnestAy.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakter daripada Earnest Worthing dan Algernon.
Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini mengadopsi metode kualitatif dengan analisis tekstual berdasarkan Moleong .
Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan karakter utama dari Earnest Worthing memiliki karakter yang sangat baik karena dia ingin melakukan apapun untuk orang yang ia cintai yang bernama.
