Unveiling the Power of Transformational Leadership in Faith-Based Schools A(Rahmatika et al. IJLREE Vol. No. August 2025, pp. Leaders are expected to embody and transmit these values through vision, relational integrity, and instructional guidance . Faith-based schools are founded on religious values that form the core of their identity and culture. These values often include principles of morality, ethics, social solidarity, justice, and compassion . In the context of transformational leadership, religious values serve as a guide for leaders to lead with attention to spiritual, moral, and social aspects. Christian. Muslim, and BahaAoi traditions, while distinct in doctrine, share common leadership ideals such as service, humility, and moral accountability. For instance. Christian educational leadership often invokes servant leadership as modeled by Christ, emphasizing sacrifice and stewardship . In Islamic boarding schools . , leadership draws from prophetic traditions, fostering wisdom . and community solidarity . BahaAoi leadership, as discussed previously, stresses moral transformation and social contribution. These variations illustrate the contextualization of transformational leadership within religious frameworks. Leaders in these schools must balance religious authenticity with contemporary challenges such as digital learning, diversity, and mental health awareness . Research shows that when religious values are intentionally aligned with leadership practices, schools experience enhanced trust, teacher satisfaction, and student engagement . While there are significant benefits to combining transformational leadership with religious values, research also identifies several challenges. One challenge is balancing the need to maintain religious integrity while adapting to changes in education and society. Additionally, leaders face challenges in interpreting and applying religious values in a relevant manner within the complex landscape of modern education. This research not only provides theoretical insights but also offers practical implications for educational leaders and practitioners. These may include the development of leadership training programs that integrate transformational leadership concepts with religious values, as well as the formation of learning communities among faith-based school leaders to share best practices and successful strategies . This study also highlights opportunities for further research. For instance, future studies could explore the impact of transformational leadership practices based on religious values on student performance, school climate, and relationships between schools and local religious communities. Research on faith-based schools is specifically designed for school principals. This study emphasizes the importance of understanding the needs of school principals and linking their professional responsibilities with their personal well-being. Faith-based school leadership practices can be integrated into mindfulness of the mind, body, and soul, which can positively contribute to their professional well-being. August 2025, pp. By adopting a salutogenesis approach, which focuses on achieving positive biopsychosocial and spiritual potential, this study aims to enhance understanding and intervention strategies in supporting school principals facing various challenges . The findings indicate that implementing programs that prioritize the holistic well-being of school principals in faith-based schools can have a positive impact on their professional effectiveness and personal satisfaction. Conclusion Faith-based transformational leadership plays a crucial role in shaping educational environments rooted in religious values. Rather than merely managing institutions, leaders in these contexts embody and transmit spiritual principles such as authenticity, humility, empathy, and ethical integrity. These values inspire and empower followers while reinforcing a strong sense of community, mission, and responsibility. This review reveals the transformative potential of leadership practices that are aligned with religious teachings. When properly contextualized, transformational leadership in faith-based schools contributes to enhanced teacher motivation, student engagement, and overall school climate. It also underscores the importance of balancing spiritual identity with contemporary educational demands, such as digital integration and inclusive leadership. The findings of this study provide insights for leadership development programs that integrate transformational leadership with faith-based competencies. Institutions should consider designing training that emphasizes both pedagogical innovation and spiritual grounding. Future research is needed to explore the application of transformational leadership across diverse faith traditions and educational systems, using empirical designs to validate the conceptual insights presented here. Comparative studies can also enrich our understanding of how religious beliefs uniquely shape leadership practices in Islamic. Christian. BahaAoi, and other faith-based schooling systems.
