ABSTRACT
ChatGPT has gained popularity in research writing and language teaching, yet its specific influence on studentsAo English learning processes remains underexplored.
This study aims to investigate studentsAo experiences using ChatGPT in English language learning from two countries: the Philippines and Indonesia.
Employing a qualitative research design, the study purposively collected the data from 90 university studentsAi50 from University Technology in the Philippines and 40 from Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA).

INTRODUCTION
Despite the growing integration of advanced technologies like ChatGPT to support English language learning, students still face persistent problems in academic writing, particularly related to low motivation and limited creativity.

FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION
Findings The survey paints a largely positive portrait of ChatGPT as a supplemental tool for English language learning: many students benefit from its personalized guidance, rapid feedback, and engaging dialogue.
At the same time, substantial minorities across nearly every category reveal that experiences varyAiand that improvements in personalization depth, interaction authenticity, motivational features, and usability could further elevate the platformAos educational value.
Overall, the survey results reflect a generally positive perception of ChatGPT's role in enhancing English language learning.
A significant proportion of users find the platform beneficial for personalized learning, immediate feedback, and simulating authentic interactions.
However, there remains a considerable segment of users who are uncertain or face challenges with certain aspects of the platform.
Addressing these concerns can further improve the effectiveness and user satisfaction of ChatGPT in English language learning.
The interviews for the teachers both Philippines and Indonesia Based on Table 1, the results of Interview are based on the 2 Teachers from Rizal University of Technology Philippines and the other 2 teachers from Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) Indonesia.
