ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to find out the effect of song lyric method in using joox application in teaching listening at tenth grade students of SMA Swasta Al-Ihsan Wampu. This was a quantitative pre experimental research design and the writer chose one time series design. There were only one class, that was experimental class. The experimental class was taught by using conventional method in pretest and taught by using song lyric in post-test. The sample was 18 students where the writer used purposive sampling technique. Based on the result of the data analysis, the value of t count was 1,92and the value of ttable was 1,74 for 5%. It means that tcount > ttable. It can be concluded that learning listening by using song lyric method had a significant effect. In other words the studentsAo listening skill could be improved by using song lyric method. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan pengaruh metode lirik lagu pada penggunaan aplikasi joox dalam pengajaran mendengarkan pada siswa kelas x SMA Swasta Al-Ihsan Wampu. Ini adalah sebuah desain penelitian kuantitatif pre eksperimen dan penulis memilih desain one time series. Hanya ada satu kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen. Kelas eksperimen diajarkan dengan menggunakan metode konvensional pada pra-tes dan diajarkan dengan menggunakan lirik lagu pada pasca-tes Samplenya adalah 18 siswa yang mana penulis menggunakan tehnik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil data penelitian, nila t hitung adalah 1,92 dan nilai t tabel adalah 1,74 untuk 5%. Itu berarti bahwa t hitung > t tabel. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran mendengarkan dengan menggunakan metode lirik lagu memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan.
