THE INFLUENCE OF PROJECT BASED LEARNING STRATEGIES ON WRITING
PROCEDURE TEXTS FOR CLASS X AT SMA NEGERI 1 ANGKOLA BARAT

Universitas Graha Nusantara Padangsidimpuan Abstract The title of this research is the influence of project based learning strategies on writing procedure texts for class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat.
The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive research method by obtaining research results from the scores obtained after administering research instruments in the form of questionnaires and tests given to students, namely procedural texts.
The number of research populations is 120 students consisting of 4 classes, while the research subjects are 40.
Through analysis of data collected in the field, an answer has been obtained that the method Projek Based Learning has had a significant influence in writing procedure texts for class Thus it can be concluded that the author's hypothesis in this study can be accepted.

metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan memperoleh hasil penelitian dari nilai yang diperoleh setelah pemberian instrument penelitian yang berupa angket dan tes yang diberikan kepada siswa yaitu teks prosedur.
Adapun jumlah yang terdapat sebagai populasi penelitian berjumlah 120 siswa yang terdiri 4 kelas, sedangkan subjek penelitian berjumlah 40.
Melalui analisis data yang terkumpul dilapangan telah diperoleh jawaban bahwa metode Projek Based Learning telah memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan dalam menulis teks prosedur siswa siswa kelas X Negeri 1 Angkola Barat Tahun Pelajaran 2023-2024.
Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis penulis dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima.

INTRODUCTION
In learning, teachers are a benchmark for the success of learning.

The increasingly piling up problems create a boomerang for teachers in solving student learning problems.
The problems that occur make teachers change conventional or traditional teaching into teaching with new strategic techniques (Syaiful, 2016: .
This is certainly not easy for teachers who require understanding and sacrifice that must be involved, for example the time spent in understanding a learning method.
Teachers make various efforts to improve learning with curriculum demands that must be implemented in tandem with what is expected in Evaluation carried out as a benchmark for the achievement of learning must be considered as an interaction obtained after the use of the method or strategy applied.

Produce the product is the fifth stage carried out through the project based learning This stage requires students to carry out good cooperation in finding solutions.
Students can explore knowledge that will become the basis for students' creative ideas, be innovative in producing work as a result of the project.
The final stage is the evaluation or assessment stage of the students' project work by showing the results in front of the class.
Each group presents the results of student practice in the form of work from the group.
The teacher as an assessor assesses the percentage made by students.
An example of project based learning is making short story books as the result of students' work in learning Indonesian.
The stages carried out by students are as follows:

The process of data obtained from students is such as valid data whose truth has been tested in the form of a test of success in understanding the student's learning material where this data is directly related to the object being studied by the researcher.

From the research results obtained it can be concluded that the Hypothesis of this research is accepted.
