Method The research used in this research is a qualitative approach in the nature of library research. Data collection techniques are carried out by collecting data, whether articles, journals, books, as well as other sources that are relevant to this study. Apart from that, this research also involved interviews and giving question papers to class XI IPA 1 SMA SIKUR students who were the object of research or students who had problems. Interviews and at the same time giving questions to students who have problems are carried out in the guidance and counseling room personally for each student concerned. Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated for the nine factors that contribute to clarity to find out which factors qualify for path analysis which in turn will show the relationship between clarity and the contributing factors. Results Findings in this research, awareness of going to school or studying really needs to be emphasized in students so that they can maximize their potential in following the subjects they are studying, because most of the class XI students of SMA 1 SIKUR experience learning problems, especially in understanding the material and motivation to learn. So the role of guidance and counseling teachers in overcoming this problem needs to be to carry out counseling or guidance techniques to increase students' enthusiasm for learning. Counseling teachers need to focus their attention on understanding these problems to provide appropriate guidance and cooperation between subject teachers in handling these problems.
