Method The research used in this research is a qualitative approach in the nature of library research.

1 Participants There are 25 students in class XI IPA 1 at SIKUR SMA, but in this researcher we used 10 students as samples in the research.

3 Data Analysis The data collected from assessments and questionnaires were analyzed quantitatively, while data collected from interviews were examined qualitatively.

Results Findings in this research, awareness of going to school or studying really needs to be emphasized in students so that they can maximize their potential in following the subjects they are studying, because most of the class XI students of SMA 1 SIKUR experience learning problems, especially in understanding the material and motivation to learn.
So the role of guidance and counseling teachers in overcoming this problem needs to be to carry out counseling or guidance techniques to increase students' enthusiasm for learning.
Counseling teachers need to focus their attention on understanding these problems to provide appropriate guidance and cooperation between subject teachers in handling these problems.
